WCLX 4
8/18/02
So I finally met the wonderful BalboaBaby the other weekend at WCLX 4.
As she noticed the high "blues-y" content of the music, she lamented to me
that Cleveland had very little blues dancing ... which is a shame, because
BB is one fantastic blues follow ... notice that I'm on my way to the
Cleveland Exchange :)
But the highlight of the weekend was spending time with one of my Herrang
friends, Jennifer. Not only did we discover we had the same taste in
women's clothing and shoes (don't ask), but we had one of the most wonderful
dinners I've ever had at a place called NoMI (Food & Wine: Nations 10 Best
Chefs, Esquire: Best New Restaurant Nominee). Let's just say that when
you come in and see the chef de cuisine doing prep work, you know you're in
for a wonderful time (if you go there, get the tuna app and the
"Summer Minestrone" dessert), and we also discussed the relative merits of
men's and women's sexual fantasies while waiting for caramel corn, but I
digress. If you've got the extra bucks, definitely call ahead and get
a reservation (unless, of course, you manage to get one at that Chicago
landmark, Charlie Trotter's).
If you're interested in getting high-res copies of the
photos, email me:
