Camp Jitterbug 2005
6/6/05
I surprised myself by how much I was out dancing now that
I've labeled myself as a blues dancer, but I was really enjoying having a
swingin' weekend. Plus, some of the bands were playing some really
nice slow drag.
Now this, with a whole slew of dance events around it, including some blues dancing
this past weekend here in Seattle wouldn't be that bad except
for the fact that lately at the restaurant they've been scheduling me for
more early morning shifts. Example: a fellow dancer lives in my
building. As I was leaving to open the restaurant on Memorial Day she
was just getting back with her guests from the afterhours dancing.
Needless to say, I've been very tired.
However, the highlight of the weekend was hanging out with
Tim, a fellow dancer from San Diego who is also an aspiring cook. He's
going to be moving to Seattle in the fall ... can't wait for the
misadventures to begin.
