Camp Hollywood 2002
For some reason, I didn't bother to take many photos at this
event ... I'd been traveling way too much and by the time I got there I was
ready for break. So I took one I didn't go to classes much, I
didn't go to many competitions, and, well, I didn't do much dancing either
... besides, the music had a heavy Hollywood feel to it, which was just too
lo-fi and too fast for my taste. I'm not knocking it - I've got a lot
of it in my collection, but I'm more of a ::gasp:: groove style dancer.
I just didn't feel like doing fast lindy and bal all night. My apathy
towards the whole thing means that I took very few pictures.
But I did have fun listening to the Bill Elliott Swing Orchestra and
seeing some people I hadn't seen in months. Still, the smog and other
LA niceties simply confirmed that LA is the heart of darkness.
(BTW, the band in the pics is BESO and the guy in the uniform, that's
yours truly)
