Wow ... this page is old too.  But things still don't change ... I love all of these teachers and would be eager to take classes from them again.

Kevin & Carla

Dawn Hampton

I can't say enough about these two:  they're amazing and I am totally in awe of them.  I've been to a couple of events where they've taught and I've got nothing but good things from them.  They don't just concentrate on cool things, but do great work with fundamentals, especially connection.  If they're at an event near you, go.  Now. I can't think of anyone else that truly symbolizes the spirit of swing better than Dawn Hampton.  The enthusiasm and energy contained in her philosophy on swing is a wonderful thing to experience.

Steven Mitchell & Virginie

Joel & Val

This guy just knows his musicality and music theory.  I've only had one class with him, but it's made such an impact in how I listen to the music and how I work with phrasing and the different styles of lindy music.

I know these two went their separate ways long ago, but they were still one of my favorite teaching pairs. Not only did they have a great sense of humor, but they made an extra effort to ensure the students get something out of the class.  Their strong focus on breaking down the fundamentals (playing with different ways to do the 1-2, the 5-6, etc) was so much fun.  And they had a tendency to jump into the rotation!  Very cool.
