 | Background - An Air Force brat, I've lived all over the place
and seen quite a bit. The most interesting place was Saudi Arabia
and from there we took a number of side trips to Australia, Europe and
Southeast Asia. Of course, you don't appreciate the Louvre when
you're ten. |
 | Education - BSBA in Marketing and a BA in Performing Arts,
Washington University in St. Louis, 2000, Culinary Arts, Alain and Marie
Le Notre Culinary Institute, 2004 |
 | Occupation - Okay, so this is the only reason I put my
education up there. After majors in marketing and drama (and a minor
in English composition), what do I do? That's right, I became an IT
Consultant. Makes sense, right? Yeah. Even more sense
now that I'm a cook. |
 | How Long Dancing - Since January of 1999. I actually had
to learn it for a show I was in during college. We did a production
of Much Ado About Nothing and set it in the jazz era. The big
dance number? A swing rueda set to Charlie Barnet's Flying Home.
And the sad part was even with choreography I was totally off beat |
 | Best Dance - Officially? Beth at The Pampas Room during
the 2004 Seattle Lindy Exchange. Unofficially? Well, that's
personal. |
 | Best Thing I've Tasted - Tossup . . . probably the Study of
Duck at Emeril's Restaurant in Orlando. This was my first true fine
dining experience where the cuisine took center stage. The seared
foie grais with port reduction sealed the deal |
 | Favorite Thing to Cook - Can't really say anymore.
Whatever's in season, whatever's fresh, local, organic, sustainable. |
 | Other Interests - Besides cooking and dancing? I've
recently taken a big interest in blues music and blues history, trying
to organize a large event within the blues community. If it sounds
interesting, try checkout the
Emerald City
Blues Festival. |
 | Where Do I Live - Seattle, Washington. Go out onto the
roof, there's the Olympics in front of me, the Cascades behind me and
Rainier to the south ... fantastic. |
